There are several types of sleep disorders and is very likely that you could be suffering from at least one of them. Resting is a very important part of our daily routine, because of that is essential that our sleeping time must be uninterrupted and of good quality. Unfortunately the society we live is characterized by rush and an accelerated way of living. This way of life generally leads to several health problems among them the sleep disorders. This is an example of how a dysomnia type disorder can threaten your life as falling asleep driving or operating machinery can lead to a fatal accident. Obstructive sleep apnea is another especially dangerous disorder. The sleep apnea condition can cause you to stop breathing while sleeping which can lead to heart problems and even a stroke.


Parasomnias

The parasomnia is another of the main types of sleep disorders. The parasomnia disorder includes a group of conditions where the person experience abnormal movement, emotion, perception in the different stages of the sleeping process. Parasomnias can include: nightmares, sleepwalking and teeth grinding. In the nightmares you can suddenly wake up by a scary dream. The sleepwalking includes walking while sleeping and making other complex movements. The teeth grinding occurs when you grind your teeth while sleeping that can lead to jaw and teeth problems. These disorders are more common in children but can affect people of all ages.


Psychiatric and medical sleeping problems

The final type disorder is the psychiatric or medical types of sleep disorders. In this group you can find alcoholism, depression, anxiety, panic and psychoses. In this type of disorder the state of the mind of the individual plays a great role. Learn about noise machines for calming sounds.

As you can see there are several disorders that affect sleeping but most of the times the cause is hidden in the life style. Possible solutions for this can be as simple as changing diet (eating healthier food), changing the working schedule (working during the day is the natural way), adjusting the environment where you sleep (less light and less noise) can have some great benefits to improve the quality of your sleep.
