Sleep Apnea Machines
The sleep apnea machines are a very common treatment for the people who suffer from the sleep apnea condition. The sleep apnea condition is just more than simple snoring. People suffering from it actually stop breathing for a period of time while they are sleeping. The sleep apnea will disrupt the rest of the person who experience it and some of the symptoms of this condition are: headaches in the morning, making up in the night several times while gasping for air, you will feel with some lethargy as well and a dry throat in the mornings. It can lead to some serious health conditions issues like: hypertension, heart problems and even a stroke. There are several ways to treat the condition the most popular one using sleep apnea machines. There are several types of these machines like cpap and bipap.
BiPAP masks

Bipap masks will also benefit a lot from the bipap masks. The bipap masks will not only help you getting air inside your lungs but also will increase the oxygen intake. This is one of the sleep apnea machines that is adjustable and can check the pressure while you are inhaling and exhaling air. The mask of the machine generally will cover the nose and the mouth area creating a seal while pressurized air goes into your lungs.

The cpap masks are known as “continuous positive airway pressure” masks. The machine in this case will use a positive pressure and apply to your throat keeping the passage completely open while you are sleeping. The mask that typically covers the nose area will be connected to the cpap pump. The positive pressure applied by the pump will travel through the mask making sure there is no obstruction for breathing in the throat area. The masks are normally made of silicon and provide a seal over your nose to keep it tight. Some people find the masks very uncomfortable but newer masks use gel to make it more comfortable to wear.
Which one: CPAP or BiPAP?
Both of the machines are very good but there are some instances that one will be preferred over the other. The cpap mask is generally for people who suffer from mild cases of sleep apnea. This type of machine has one pressure level and use a continuous pressure of air. The bipap mask have 2 different pressure levels one for when the person inhales and other when the person exhales. The most severe apnea cases are better treated with the bipap mask because while the person inhales the pressure is higher and more oxygen is necessary and while exhaling it lowers the pressure because the oxygen needs are lower. The bipap machines also have a tendency to be smaller and less noisy than the cpap counterpart which is one of the main advantages over the cpap. Both of the sleep apnea machines are great for mild cases of sleep apnea but when the obstruction is more severe the bipap masks will be the most popular choice.
