Signs of Diabetes
The signs of diabetes are the key for the early treatment of the disease. Diabetes is a very serious metabolic condition. The main characteristic of this disorder is the high levels of glucose in the blood stream. Glucose is basically sugar which is necessary to produce energy in the human body.
The glucose cannot enter the human cells by themselves they need the help of the insulin in order to reach the cells effectively. The part of the human body responsible for creating the insulin is the pancreas. When the pancreas cannot create enough insulin to take the glucose in the cells, the glucose starts to accumulate in the blood stream increasing the sugar levels creating the diabetes condition. High sugar levels in the blood are one of the most typical signs of diabetes.
There
are 2 types of diabetes one that that is very dependent on insulin
and the one that doesn’t. Type 1 diabetes appears when the pancreas
cannot create enough insulin to take the glucose in the cells. This
happens because the immune system for some reason attacks the cells
responsible for the insulin c
reation.
This
type of diabetes requires insulin injections regularly in order to
for the glucose to enter the cells. Type 2 diabetes means the body
produces insulin but the cells are not being efficient using it. It
doesn’t require such drastic measure but they still must take
medicines to control their sugar levels.
Common Symptoms of diabetes
People that suffer from diabetes usually experience frequent urination, they get extremely hungry and thirsty, nausea, their injuries heal very slowly, their vision gets blurry, fatigue and many infections. One of the multiple signs of diabetes that is easily overlooked is the snoring. Many studies show that snorers are very prone to suffer from diabetes.
When people snore their oxygen intake is smaller and produces a serious strain on the human body. If you are a snorer, be careful you are likely to develop many serious conditions like diabetes. Sleep deprivation which is very closely related to snoring is also one of the factors that can seriously impact your health and make you vulnerable to conditions like diabetes.
Diabetes prevention
Diabetes like many other conditions can be prevented by living a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle means exercising regularly, eating the right foods (plenty of fruits and vegetables), avoid smoking and alcohol drinking. If you are a snorer visit your doctor to take a sleep study and be sure if you are suffering from sleep apnea or simple snore.
The difference between them is critical as one is life threatening while the other one is not that dangerous. Sleep apnea besides being able to increase the chances of suffering conditions like diabetes can endanger you by increasing your blood pressure and make you very likely to experience a stroke while sleeping. Studying the signs of diabetes is very important as they allow you to identify if the condition is affecting you and take the necessary precautions to stop the condition while is still early.
